Pyramids

Walt: write an information report on pyramids.
The pyramids were built for the Egyptian pharaohs. When the pharaoh died he was placed into the tomb. The Egyptians believed in afterlife. Afterlife is when the king dies and the spirit remains with the Egyptians. The Egyptians prayed to the pharaohs as if they were Gods.

The Egyptians would wash the dead body first. After washing the corps the embalmers would take the insides out. The embalmers would stack piles of salt around the dead corps. Afterwards, they would rub the corps with oil and wrap it with bandages. This is a mummy.

It it believed that it took 20 to 30 years to build the pyramids. The Egyptians used a ramp to get the blocks up on the pyramids. The pyramid was 450 feet high and 756 feet long. The Egyptians built the pyramid on the west bank of the Nile River. The Egyptians link the west with death and the east is for rebirth. The west is death because the spirit could start their journey.

The most pyramids were built in Giza. The three pyramids of Giza were Menkaure’s pyramid, Khafre’s pyramid and Khufu’s pyramid. The smallest pyramid out of the three  is Menkaure pyramid. Khufu’s pyramid is about 4500 years old. Khufu’s  pyramid is one of the seven wonders of the world and it is still standing now.

Wylie the eagle

This story is about animals  in Egypt. The character in this story is Wylie, an eagle. Wylie was flying around in the sky and Wylie was trying to look for some food.  Wylie wanted to get some food like fish, from the Nile River and a  juicy lizard. After that a sandstorm came and so Wylie had to wait for the sandstorm to go away. When the sandstorm went away Wylie wanted to catch a fish from the Nile River but Wylie did not catch any fish. Wylie was trying to catch the lizard but the lizard went into a small hole so Wylie the eagle could not eat it. At the end Wylie did not eat any food.

My name in hieroglyphics

Baseball game

In this game I was learning to solve multiplication sums. The strategy was 10 + 6 and then you go 57 x 10=570 after that you go 57 x 6=342. When you finish the sum you have to add it all up. The answer that you should get is 912. Next I would like to learn is how to do division and fraction strategies.

Rugby

Walt: use our emotion to describe playing sport.

Every Tuesday and Thursday I have  rugby training. The team I play for is University. I am always keen to go to training. But after training my legs are all sore and I am extremely l tired. When Saturday comes my feeling are like surprising  because I like playing rugby and it was my first game last Saturday. I am  excited to be on the field with my team. When I get tacked and the field is muddy I hate it when my face goes into the mud because mud goes into my mouth and it is really disgusting. Last Saturday my team won 75-5. When we won I was over the moon.

Who is the most important person?

The most important person is my mum because she look after me. The most important person is my teacher because if we did not have a teacher we could not learn anything.

What is the right thing to do?

The right thing to do is don’t do bad stuff like rob a shop. The right thing to do at school it always be on task.

Build A Bug

In this game I was learning my multiplication ,addition, and subtraction. It was a bit hard because the sums  keeps changing and you have to be quick to answer the question. The difficult part was the subtraction, because the sum  keeps changing. I know my five times table thats why I got it right.  I could improve by getting faster at knowing my subtraction sums. Next I would like to learn is ratio and proportion so I can challenge myself.

Egyptian Myth

Thoth is an ancient Egyptian Myth. Thoth is an Egyptian God. He is the God of time, measurement and the moon. The problem was that Rah was jealous of Nut falling in love with Geb. Shu was so jealous that he turned Geb into the sky and Nut into the earth. Nut and Geb had a son and daughter. The children names were, Osiris and Isis.

What I’ve learnt from this story is that the Egyptian made contributions to the calendar and how to pronounce the names in this story.

My island of paradise

Walt: write a creative story in paragraphs.

On my island people only my family and friends are allowed. On my island will be anything you want like water world or dream world theme parks. There will be school so the children can learn. Every house on my island  is a mansion. I would like  everyone  to be  happy not sad.

When it is the weekend I’d go to a go kart course and race with my friends. We can have so much fun driving go karts. When we are hungry we can go to the shop and get something to eat. When we are finished  we can go to a movie theatre.

I would have  stadiums for  every single sport like football, rugby and much more. I would like to have indoor stadiums because if it rains you won't get wet and cold. The most sport that I would play is soft ball.

If I had all the money I would buy my island and turn it into paradise.
