My Reflection For Term One

This week our class did three  e-asttle tests.

In my first reading  I got a four B but the test I did was not good because I went down and got a three B. I was very disappointed with myself when I went down. I have to work harder so I can get up to a four P or B. In my reading I have to work harder on to find and understand the main idea in the texts. My aim is to get back up to four B. I think  should read more books.

In geometry and statistics my result is three P. That is not good because I have to be up at a  four. In geometry and statistics some of my gaps is  to learn to read grids and  statistical  graphs. My aim is to get to a four B.

In the June reports I would like to see very good result like at the New Zealand standings.

My Toy I Made

WALT: make a toy

Our teacher said  that we had to make a simple toy so Chase and I decided to make skateboard ramps. Chase and I went out at lunch time and made our skateboard ramps. A few days later Chase and I had changed our ideas. We used cardboard to make our skateboard ramps. We used cardboard because the cardboard was easy to bend. The hard part was doing the plan because I can't draw properly. The thing I enjoyed was making my skateboard ramps and painting the ramps black. Our toys were judged by our principal Mr Hendricks. The top three winners were Matthew, Mikayla, and Britney.

Food Tech

On Mondays our year seven and eight students go to technology at Tamaki College. The year eight students are doing food tech. Food tech  was fun, cooking  food from all around the world. My favourite food was a Samoan dish called pisupo. My least favourite was eggs benedict because I hate eating eggs. The thing I hate in food tech is getting cut from the knife. Next, I would like to make an  Indian dish.

Thank You Mrs Robinson

Dear Mrs Robinson

Thank you Mrs Robinson for teaching us blocks, kicks and a few self defense moves. The best kick that I like was the front snap kick. The part that I enjoyed was doing all the blocks and kicks. I enjoyed doing the four directional punch and punching the pads. I learnt the front snap kick, four directional punch and self defense. I will use perseverance in sports and I will keep trying.

Your Sincerely

Integers Slam

WALT: Add and Subtract integers

Need’s
Cards
two to four players

How To Play

The first player takes the top card off the remainder pile and then puts one card face down into what becomes the discard pile.

Take turns with your partner  to take the top card from either the remainder pile or the discard pile at the end of your turn you must discard only one card.

When the remainder pile runs out flip over the discard pile and start a new pile.

The winner is the first player to put down three cards that add up to 12 or -12

That’s how you play.

Play some games of integers slam.
